A Greek Orthodox Parish in Kansas City

Welcome to Annunciation

A vibrant community of men and women, of every background and age, gathered around the Divine Liturgy each Sunday.

Our church is part of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America and the Holy Metropolis of Denver, under the spiritual guidance of His Eminence Metropolitan Constantine of Denver.

Annunciation was founded in downtown Kansas City in 1910 by a small group of Greek immigrants, and has been at our present location on Wornall Road since the late 1970s. Today our parish reflects the American experience โ€” comprised of individuals and families from many backgrounds, all witnessing to the Good News of Jesus Christ, striving to reflect His love, and living according to the principles and discipline of the Orthodox Church.

We are a Greek Orthodox Christian family that faithfully comes together at the Divine Liturgy every Sunday to worship the Lord โ€” and in this light, to discover the manner and means by which to better know Him and do His will. With a host of ministries and activities, there is a place and opportunity for everyone to grow in Christ, share His love, and glorify Him at all times and in all places.

Newcomers and visitors are always welcome at Annunciation. While we hope this website helps you learn more about our parish and the Orthodox Christian faith, above all, we hope you will personally visit us. You will discover a welcoming Church family, an ancient and dynamic faith, and perhaps even a spiritual home where you and yours may want to plant roots and expand your relationship with God and others.
