What is stewardship?

Stewardship is our joyful response to all that God has given us. As Orthodox Christians, we believe everything we have — our lives, our talents, our resources — is a gift from God, entrusted to us to use for His glory and the good of His Church.

When you become a steward of Annunciation, you join a community supporting the worship, ministries, outreach, and care of our parish home. Your commitment helps us plan faithfully and serve our community throughout the year.

Three ways to give

Stewardship is more than financial giving. It's the offering of our whole selves — time, talent, and treasure — in service to God and one another.

Time

Be present

Attend the Divine Liturgy, parish events, and feast days. Bring your family. Bring a friend. Your presence shapes the life of our community.

Talent

Serve in a ministry

Sing in the choir, teach Sunday school, prepare prosphora, serve at the altar, help at the festival — every gift has a place. Browse our ministries →

Treasure

Give financially

Pledged stewardship and offerings sustain our parish. Whether weekly, monthly, or annually, every gift — given cheerfully — supports the work of the Church.

Common questions

Why make a pledge?

A pledge helps the parish council plan and budget responsibly — knowing what we can count on for ministries, salaries, and the upkeep of our church. Even a modest pledge made in faith helps us serve faithfully.

How much should I give?

That's between you and God. Scripture and the Church's tradition speak of the tithe (10%) as a starting point, but the heart matters more than the amount. Give what you can give cheerfully and prayerfully.

Can I give monthly?

Yes. The online giving form accepts one-time or recurring contributions on a schedule that works for you. Many parishioners find monthly giving simpler than tracking weekly envelopes.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Yes. Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We provide year-end giving statements to all stewards for tax purposes.

Questions about stewardship?
