Greek Festival

Greek Festival

Stewardship

The Greek Festival Ministry provides an opportunity for our parish to come together to:

  • Share our Greek traditions, hospitality, and cuisine
  • Invite people to learn about Orthodoxy
  • Connect with the Greater Kansas City community
  • Build and strengthen relationships within the community as we work together toward a common goal
  • Provide income for building improvements

The Festival is the primary source of income to replenish the building fund.  Our aging building requires extensive upkeep, and many projects need to be completed. This is why it is so important that everyone volunteers for the festival.

In this ministry, the members of our parish work together to share the culture and heritage of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church with Kansas City. The essential by-product of the Festival is fellowship. Often, throughout the year, we don’t get the opportunity to get to know other parishioners more than a passing hello at coffee hour. The Festival creates a unique opportunity to get to know others by working together for a common purpose that is rarely possible otherwise.

There are many opportunities to volunteer, and you don't have to be Greek to be part of this vital ministry.
